BUILDING SURVEYS
The RICS Building Survey (formerly the Structural Survey) is normally carried out on older, run-down properties, on premises where significant alterations have been undertaken or where structural alterations to a building are proposed.
The Building Survey includes:
A desk-top study to provide a historic and environmental assessment of the property and immediate surroundings.
A thorough and detailed property inspection and a comprehensive report on critical issues likely to influence your purchase decisions.
A description of visible defects and those that are reasonably accessible.
A summary of serious defects that present a health and safety risk and/or threaten the structural integrity of the property.
A summary of the items considered to require repair, maintenance and/or replacement.
A factually accurate report written in easy to understand language.
